Think of Accord for Access as the big brother (or sister) of Accord for Excel
(Synopsys Scientific Systems, £495 commercial/£295 academic).
Instead of plugging into Excel, it adds on to the Microsoft relational database
Access to provide users with all the chemical literacy of the spreadsheet
program, but within a database. The big advantage here is that compounds in a
large database can be quickly searched by keying in their chemical
characteristics.
