The Edinburgh International Science Festival begins this week and runs
until 18 April. It offers more than 80 talks by scientists, hundreds of events
for adults and children. See the University of Reading’s seven dwarves
(interactive robots), marvel at secret life of the trilobite, sniff the Royal
Botanic Garden’s flowers on a torchlit night tour, get the lowdown on
superbugs—and, of course, head for the Science Book Festival. Visit www.
edinburghfestivals.co.uk or ring the hotline on 0131 248 2979/2937. Have fun . .
