The picture painted is one of the singer鈥檚 father looking silly because he hasn鈥檛 pulled his boots up enough. The previous line is, 鈥淗e looks a proper nana in his great big 鈥榦bnail boots鈥� .鈥� So it is the look that matters, and it says nothing about any problems getting the boots off.
