I’m loving by Siddhartha Mukherjee, an engrossing history of cancer that spans the millennia from ancient Egypt to the modern day. Mukherjee sets his own life as an oncologist at Massachusetts General Hospital against this historical backdrop, creating both a stunning insider account of one of the world’s biggest killers and a compelling story of human resilience, filled with moving patient experiences.

I’ve also been enjoying the fourth season of (pictured above), an alternative history series where the Soviet Union is first to land on the moon. Everything changes as the US rushes to catch up.

By 2003, humans are established on Mars, and the new season sees an international coalition collaborating with Helios, a private company, as it works to push an asteroid back into Mars’s orbit to harvest crucial minerals.

Think heists, sabotage, interplanetary smuggling and more. Be prepared for a tense season finale!
