Plants need water to live, but they also play a key part in what eventually
happens to water. What, then, will be the effect of a changing climate on the
distribution of plant species? To answer this we must first consider the
passage of water through a plant

LIQUID water is a vital ingredient for all living organisms. Up to 90 per
cent of the mass of plants and animals is water. Without water a plant wilts,
