Britain’s most important think-tank for evaluating how scientific and
technological innovation can meet the needs of industry has this week appointed
as its chairman a former chief scientific adviser to the Cabinet Office.
Sir John Fairclough recently gave up his government post and now becomes
the chairman of the Centre for Exploitation of Science and Technology.
