The first Russian science park took its place within the International
Association of Science Parks last week at the organisation’s seventh conference
in Limerick, Ireland.
The Moscow Technopark seeks to develop small companies specialising
in information technology, electronics, new materials and biotechnology.
There are only two other science parks within the former boundaries of the
USSR, both in Estonia, at Tallinn and Tartu.
