(£12.50, ISBN 0 14 025800 0) and James Shreeve’s The Neandertal Enigma
(£8.99, ISBN 0 14 025333 5). Dennett’s 1978 book contains a section with a
helpful title “What is my theory?” Now if only more science writers were as
direct.
