Quick fix

By Barry Fox

9 August 1997

Mobile phone users know that all too often, their batteries go flat just when
they most need to make a call. K. N. Technos of Tokyo sees this as a market
opportunity (EP 773 519). The company proposes putting battery charge-vending
machines in supermarkets and department stores.

The machine has a row of different sockets to cope with the various
batteries. It charges the battery while the owner goes shopping.
