Windows cleans up

6 September 1997

Windows 98 is to replace Windows 95 next year, Microsoft announced last week.
But although the software should go on sale for less than £100, users may
well need to buy a new computer to run it.

Windows 98 will need large amounts of memory. Microsoft demonstrated the
software in London using a machine with 48 megabytes of RAM. And the software
needs at least 120 megabytes free space on the hard disc.
