Polio-free Europe

Europe may soon be rid of polio. The WHO says that only one case has been
reported so far this year in its European region, which includes the former
Soviet Union. Even that patient brought the infection back from Asia. To be
officially polio-free, Europe must have no more cases for the next three
years.
