In his Borderlands, Mike Dash provides an amazing treasure trove of
incidents where the normal laws of science seem not to apply. Witnesses report
ghosts, ectoplasm flows and a case of UFOs competing for parking space. Dash has
some engaging photos and is generally a sceptic. Some things, however, he
believes to be genuine mysteries—especially cases of fish falling out of
the sky. He is particularly impressed by a report from Barnes in London from
someone who saw a grilled halibut falling from the clouds. Entertaining.
