Where am I?

Ford Motor Company has made an early patent claim (EP 789 498) on a scheme to
let car drivers make emergency cellphone calls giving their exact locations.

A Global Positioning System satellite receiver is fitted in the car, logging
its position. The log is updated every few seconds and stored in the cellphone’s
memory. In an emergency the driver presses a panic button which places a call to
the emergency services and transmits an exact map reference for the vehicle.
There are two types of call: one for a break down and one for emergencies.
