Seymour Park primary school in Manchester has connected a dozen computers to
the Internet through the mains electricity supply. The school is one of the
first to use technology developed by Norweb Communications that allows data to
be sent over power cables. The modems work at speeds up to 1 megabit per
second—more than 30 times faster than conventional modems.
