That dangerous activity, predicting the future, is being tackled in a
series of short books at the bargain price of £2 each. A dozen have
already appeared on the future of disease, climate, religion, genetic
manipulation and so on, and one, simply, on men. This must surely be an
inexhaustible mine to exploit. All the books are written by experts who know how
to write plainly and succinctly, and one or two have already appeared in
bestseller lists. The Predictions series is published by Weidenfeld &
Nicolson.
