The 93rd space shuttle mission will be the first to have a woman commander.
Arlene Collins became the first woman to pilot a shuttle in 1995. In December,
she’ll lead a crew of five in a mission to launch the Advanced X-ray
Astrophysics Facility, a telescope which will look at quasars and black
holes.
