Perpetual waste

By Barry Fox

6 February 2000

Many patent offices remain happy to let inventors waste their money filing
patents on perpetual motion machines. Parisian Yuly Zagyansky (W0 99/56288) says
he has worked out how “contradictions in Einstein-Bohr physics” will let him
construct “aeroplane carpets”. He claims to have discovered a “novel unknown
force” which can “eliminate the gravitational field” by creating magnetic fields
through deforming electric ones. Warming to his theme, Zagyansky goes on to say
that his invention proves the existence of other universes. It’s so easy when
you know how.
