Chernobyl is closing down 14 years after spreading radioactivity
across Europe and destroying the dreams of nuclear power. The last
reactor at the station in Ukraine is due to be powered down on 15 December.

two new reactors, but an Austrian report claims they are “hazardous”
because they may not withstand earthquakes.
