Zuli Holdings of Israel wants to use ultrasound to drive body implants that
stimulate muscles in disabled people or deliver drugs directly to target tissue
(GB 2354949). The implant has no batteries, but has its own generator. An
external ultrasound source close to the body makes the implant vibrate and these
vibrations power the generator. The implant can also be used to store a drug in
lightly sealed bubbles that will be ruptured by the ultrasound.
