Polaroid has devised a camera that lets people take pictures on both
conventional film and lower-quality instant picture film (WO 01/33295). Normal
photographic film winds through the camera, facing the lens as usual. And a pack
of instant film sits in the bottom of the camera, at right angles to the lens.
Flicking a lever moves an internal mirror between a position that lets the light
go straight through onto the normal film and a second position that reflects the
