Bathroom arachnophobia remains a rich vein for inventors. Ideas range from ladders that let spiders escape from the bathtub, to bristly extendible brushes that trap the beasts harmlessly in their fibres. John Dony of Hertfordshire has a new idea (GB 2364877). A transparent plastic box with one side open is placed over a spider on the wall of the bath, trapping it there.
