Anyone who dreams of being a drummer in a rock band will welcome John Sagastegui’s electronic tutor (WO 02/45071). The difficult part of learning the basics of percussion is knowing which hand to use and when, especially if all you’ve got to practise on is a silent rubber drum pad. Metronomes will help you keep time but won’t tell you which hand to use, so Sagastegui’s e-tutor tells the student which hand to use using visual signals.
