The yeti is alive and well, wandering deep in the forests of Sumatra. Well, almost. Three British explorers led by cryptozoologist Adam Davies claim to have found two hairs and a footprint, which they say could belong to the yeti-like orang-pendek, or Little Man of the Forest.

Two Australian scientists are helping to validate their findings. Hans Brunner of Deakin University in Melbourne has compared the hairs with those from orang-utans, chimpanzees, gorillas and people.
