Success at last, even after Viagra failed

MEN who can’t get an erection even after taking Viagra now have another option. They can try their luck with Levitra, a rival product made by the German-based multinational Bayer.

A trial involving 463 men for whom Viagra had failed showed that nearly half of those taking Levitra managed successful intercourse, compared with just 16 per cent of those given a placebo.

The investigators, led by Culley Carson of the University of North Carolina Hospital in Chapel Hill, presented their results at a meeting of the Sexual Medicine Society of North America in Denver this week. But they cannot yet…
