Sharks line up to hunt the kraken

SPERM whales are not the only denizens of the deep that dine on giant squid. The stomach contents of 36 sleeper sharks caught in Antarctic waters around the Kergurlen archipelago all contained remains of squid, including beaks of the giant squid Architeuthis dux and its even larger cousin, the colossal squid Mesonychoteuthis hamiltoni (Âé¶¹´«Ã½, 2 August 2003, p 24).
