IT’S OFFICIAL. Iraq had no chemical, biological or nuclear weapons when the US and its allies invaded last year. After 18 months of searching, a team of CIA experts led by Charles Duelfer has concluded that a combination of UN weapons inspections and sanctions put paid to Saddam Hussein’s arsenals and production plants years before Operation Iraqi Freedom.
