A breakthrough in autism at last?

AUTISM is associated with inflammation of the brain, according to a small study. The finding is creating a stir among experts, who say it might even lead to ways to treat the condition.

“This is a very important contribution to our understanding of the disease,” says neurologist Robert Fujinami at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. “It will be cited for many years to come.”
