The Mars rover Spirit has finally crawled to the top of Husband Hill in the Red Planet’s Gusev Crater and the view is spectacular – the crater is 160 kilometres in diameter.
The first major peak scaled by the rover has given it a unique vantage point over the dusty landscape below and allowed scientists their first full view of the other side of the hill.
