Feynman uncut

By Maggie Mcdonald

2 November 2005

Richard Feynman, who died in 1988, has a huge following: his biography, letters and lectures are still selling. But it’s not clear who is going to read his doctoral thesis on his revolutionary approach to quantum physics, published now for the first time by World Scientific (£17/$28). Presumably university libraries will buy a copy. The publishers have added a helpful preface, allowing anyone with a grounding in mathematics to follow the gist of his argument.
