USB memory drives can’t get any smaller than the one launched by Solid Alliance of Yokohama, Japan, last week. The iDisk Diamond has a 128-megabyte capacity, weighs just 1 gram, costs $40, and, at 27 by 12 by 1.9 millimetres, is the same size as a USB plug. Until now, Solid Alliance was best known for making USB pen drives in the shape of sushi, prawns and rubber ducks.
