Our view of one of the most spectacular sights in the January sky just got better, thanks to the Hubble Space Telescope. The HST has taken the most detailed picture yet of our nearest prominent star-forming region – the Orion nebula. The image is a mosaic of 520 individual Hubble images, and contains 1 billion pixels.
