Live (almost) forever

Life expectancy may soon reach 100 years in rich nations as advances in science and medicine hold ageing at bay, the annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science heard last week. Poor countries will be unlikely to benefit, widening the gap between the world’s haves and have-nots.
