China’s biggest search engine, Baidu, has launched an online encyclopedia based on Wikipedia, which will rely on voluntary contributions for its entries. But Baidupedia will heavily censor its entries. Banned entries include Falun Gong and Dalai Lama. A Chinese-language version of Wikipedia was blocked by the government last year.
