Shuttle Discovery comes home safe

“Thanks, it was a great mission, a really great mission and we enjoyed the entry and the landing.” Those were shuttle commander Steve Lindsey’s words to mission control as Discovery made it home safely on Monday.

The landing, at 9.14 am at the Kennedy Space Center, followed 13 busy days in space for its six crew members, whose mission has left the International Space Station ready for further construction.
