YOUR mobile phone could soon help ease traffic congestion. Cellphones constantly emit signals that allow the networks to keep track of them, and IntelliOne of Atlanta, Georgia, has now developed a system for detecting traffic foul-ups by monitoring these signals from cellphones in cars.
The system locates each phone twice per second, allowing it to detect how fast the phone is moving.
