Plummeting PC prices have not been matched by a drop in the cost of software. Now UK supermarket Tesco is planning to change that by launching Ability Office, a dirt cheap software package that does a similar job to Microsoft Office. Ability’s software tools such as Write are compatible with its rival’s – and all for £20 rather than £300.
