A nuclear future

Coal, our traditional source of energy, is becoming increasingly difficult to mine. And oil is unreliable for political reasons. Yet, if we are to flourish, we must double electricity output by 1965 and almost double it again by 1975. To generate such an increase by burning coal would be almost impossible. But it is clear that a considerable part of this increased consumption can now come from atomic power.
