New Zealand skydiver Michael Holmes had a close shave last year

I was about 370 metres up when my main parachute failed. I wasn’t that worried at first. It was only when I had done all I could do that mild panic set in, and at around 170 metres from the ground I realised my time really was up. I shouted into the helmet camera we’d been using to video the whole experience, “Oh shit, I’m dead! Bye!”
