Every seasoned punter knows to bear home-field advantage in mind when placing a bet. It turns out that monkeys also appreciate its value when they tangle over territory.

In a fair fight between troops you would expect the losing troop to be the smallest, but Margaret Crofoot of Harvard University and colleagues set out to discover whether this depended on where the contest took place.
