MARIUS BORODINE was an eccentric boy. He began his short-lived career as an inventor with creations like the rectangular hula hoop and the indoor kite. After failing to win several competitions for young scientists he is written off by his peers as a hopeless outcast. Suddenly, Marius becomes an overnight sensation when he invents a machine that can turn anything into water.

This wonderfully imagined short film makes you think about every mad genius’s humble beginnings.
