You are starting the first robot film festival. Why?
I am really interested in creating technology in collaboration with artists. They bring a different perspective to the table. The narrative in film is unique in that it lets you explore the future before it is technologically feasible. You can look at different uses of technology and engage in this dialogue about what we actually want from robotics. Engineers are good at assessing feasibility of design but we do not necessarily include a dialogue about the larger objective.…
