Alexandra Thompson is an assistant news editor focused on health. She has a BSc in biology from the University of Leeds in the UK and has worked as a health reporter at Yahoo News and MailOnline and as an investigative reporter at BioPharm Insight, previously owned by the Financial Times. She has also worked as a freelance health journalist published in The Mail on Sunday. In 2015, she won Best Healthcare Professional Journalist at the Johnson & Johnson awards. She was also shortlisted for Feature of the Year (general audience) at the 2019 Medical Journalists' Association awards. She is author of the book Healthy Habits While Working from Home.
