Helena Saremba is a freelance science writer from Germany. She reports on health, climate and the life sciences, with a particular interest in where these intersect with culture and politics. Currently she is finishing her studies in biochemistry at Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg, where she also writes for the university newspaper, Sprachrohr. Beyond the lab and page, she is the founder of Cyprus Cat Connection, a non-profit association supporting the welfare and adoption of stray cats.
