James Urquhart is a freelance science journalist, writer, and filmmaker from East Lothian, Scotland. He has a BSc in biology and history and philosophy of science from Leeds, an MSc in science communication from Imperial College London, and a MA in history of medicine from Newcastle University. He has written and reported for BBC News, BBC Science Focus, Chemistry World, Cosmos, Hakai, Â鶹´«Ã½, and TGO (formerly The Great Outdoors). He still films and edits when he's not writing, most recently interviewing a glaciologist on an extinct volcano in Edinburgh for a Greenlandic TV broadcast.
