Joni Wildman is a mycologist at the University of Bath, UK, specialising in her PhD in the use of fungi for sustainable construction materials. She holds a Master’s degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge, where she developed an interest in fungi and their potential to address sustainability challenges. An award-winning science communicator, Joni is passionate about engaging diverse audiences with the world of fungi. She has spoken at festivals across the UK, Europe, and the US, and produces educational content for both in-person and online platforms.
