In Finland’s forests, machines like the Forest Scorpion utilise technology to manage wood cutting. Trees are cut to order and whilst most of the harvest is sent to the sawmill for processing, some will be left to become dead wood, a vital habitat for up to 5000 species of animals and fungi.
