For mathematician Hannah Fry, the definition of artificial general intelligence (AGI) is somewhat hazy. But, she says, if we’re taking AGI to mean at least as good as most humans on any task that involves a computer, then we’re almost there. “I think AGI is really not far away at all. I really think that in the next five to 10 years, we’re going to see seismic changes.” Âé¶¹´«Ã½ spoke to Fry about her love and fears for AI, and why we shouldn’t treat it as god-like, with untouchable knowledge.
