Global cholera outbreak: More than 1 billion people are at risk

Twenty-two countries are in the midst of an outbreak, but an additional 21 nations could be at risk amid a worldwide surge in infections

Cholera cases are increasing, with 22 countries around the world experiencing an outbreak. After years of decline, incidences rose in 2022 due to vaccineÌý²õ³ó´Ç°ù³Ù²¹²µ±ð²õ,Ìýclimate change and escalating conflict, in a trend that is expected to continue following recent cyclones and Syria’s earthquake.
